Well, here’s my first attempt at creating a short film for the Internet. This was completely my idea, which means like any egomaniac, I’m starring in it. LOST: My Car Key is a short story about a man who realizes on his way out to his car, that he has missed placed his car key…and for 30 minutes his life is altered. The cast was small, featuring only 3 individuals. Russell Charles, Deyvon Dumon and Me and directed by Brandt Wille. We shot this film in 3 days, in reversed order. I grew a bread for 8 weeks and clipped it back as we progressed through the shoot. In 2006, we released our short film and posted it on a few community websites, YouTube, VMIX and iFilm.com. We also submitted it to only 1 short film contest. It was the MySpace MyEmmy Contest. We won for our category, “Outstanding Comedy.” This automatically enrolled us into the 2007 Emmy Awards for the Broadband category, which was the 2nd award year for this category. We were considered, but not selected. It felt good to be in Hollywood that day. We received a lot of respect for that piece and continue to get a positive response when we show it to people.
